Entries are now open for Moutai’s annual ‘Enter the Dragon’ Competition.
Bartenders who feel they are up for the challenge are encouraged to submit a cocktail recipe using 30ml of Moutai and an Australian ingredient by this Friday, 13th of October.
Moutai Brand Manager, Jenny Chiu says she is excited to see entrants’ creative and inventive submissions.
“We are looking forward to seeing how the bartenders marry the rich and varied flavours of native Australian ingredients with Moutai, the world’s most historic spirit.”
From there, the official judging will take place in front of a revered panel of industry experts over five days. Participants will present their Moutai-inspired creation in the hope of earning themselves a spot in the final ten.
These finalists will be announced at a special event on the 23rd of October at Handpicked Cellar Door, Kensington Street, Sydney before heading to Melbourne in November to compete in the national final.
The winner will then be flown to China for an exclusive tour of the Moutai distillery, followed by two nights in Hong Kong.
Moutai is the leading brand of Baiju, the world’s most consumed spirit. The traditional Chinese drink is considered a luxury in Chinese culture and is respected as the country’s National Spirit.
