Now in its sixth year, BACARDÍ Legacy Cocktail Competition has established itself as one of the leading cocktail competitions globally. To be part of this prestigious competition, it’s now time to add the final touches to your Legacy cocktail and submit your entry by Tuesday 10th September 2019.
This is your opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Alissa Gabriel, Andrew Bennett, Dave Kerr, Jimmy Irvine and this year’s Australian Legacy title-holder, Jenna Hemsworth.

BACARDÍ LEGACY AUSTRALIA TOP 30
From the entries, the Top 30 will be anonymously selected, and then those successful bartenders will be asked to submit a video entry of themselves presenting their original Legacy cocktail at their hometown bar. This will be viewed and judged alongside the taste test conducted by the BACARDÍ Brand Ambassadors where each of the Top 30 cocktails will be evaluated on its presentation, aroma and of course, taste to then cut it down to the country’s Top 8.

BACARDÍ LEGACY AUSTRALIA SEMI-FINALS
The Top 8 Bartenders + Wild Card Entry (Australian Bartender of The Year 2019) will be invited to Sydney to make and present their original Legacy cocktail and the BACARDÍ Daiquiri in front of a judging panel of industry legends. The semi-final will be celebrated that evening at a cocktail party where Australia’s Top 3 competitors will be announced.
Mentored by dedicated Brand Ambassadors, these three competitors will partner with BACARDÍ to promote their cocktail with a budget of $1,000 plus complimentary stock of the BACARDÍ rum featured in their cocktail. During the cocktail campaign period, BACARDÍ will help these aspiring bartenders forge their place in the Australian cocktail industry, through financial, developmental support aligned with BACARDÍ’s marketing and experiential initiatives.
AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL FINAL
Based on the success of their drink and overall cocktail campaign, one of Australia’s Top 3 will be selected as the 2019/2020 BACARDÍ Legacy Australian Cocktail Competition Winner at the final held in February 2020 in Melbourne.
Amongst several other prizes, the Australian National Final winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Global Final and a $5,000 cash prize.
The journey will culminate May 2020 in Miami, USA. This is where our Australian winner will compete on the international stage for the ultimate title in the BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition
