Drinks Industry Show 2017 kicks off in two weeks

With only two weeks to go, The Drinks Industry Show 2017 is shaping up to be a fantastic event.

Taking place on June 26 and 27, 2017 at Luna Park, Sydney, the show will give professionals the opportunity to stay up to date with the latest trends, network with the industry’s finest and maximise opportunities to do business.

The constant evolution of the drinks market means it is more important than ever to stay connected to your clients and understand their ever-changing needs.

Event Curator Ben Davidson, former Pernod Ricard Brand Ambassador has created a series of Masterclasses and Spirit Tastings, giving attendees the chance to get liquid on lips and sample the eclectic range of product on offer.

Kicking things off will be “Australian Gin & the Other Craft Spirits“. During this session, attendees can hear from key Ambassadors and Distillers about why these spirits are unique and special. A stellar line up of suppliers has signed up including Four Pillars, Archie Rose, 666 Vodka and Manly Spirits Gin.

Next up, “Agave Spirits – From Ancestral to Industrial (and everything in between)” where attendees can listen to the latest information about Mezcal and taste some exquisite agave spirits under the guidance of Global Mezcal Ambassador Phil Bayly, Agave Cartel Boss, Reece Griffiths, Agave authority and Tio’s GM, Alex Gilmour and Artisanal Mezcal educator, Jose Ponce.

Completing what is set to be a fantastic day is the “World Whisk(e)y Smackdown”. Listen to passionate representatives from around the world and taste amazing examples of the leading styles of whisk(e)y, from Scotland, Ireland, USA, Canada, Japan and Australia to see who wins bragging rights for the best Whisk(e)y at the Drinks Industry Show!

Fiona MacDonald, Director of the Wine Chronicles has also designed an unrivalled seminar program focusing on all aspects of the drinks industry.

This year’s program will see leaders of the industry addressing key issues including how design can make or break hospitality, the importance of embracing social media, the current state of the Australian beverage industry and the battle between eCommerce and physical stores.

The Australian Bartenders Guild will return to run their annual flair and cocktail championships with the best bartenders in the country competing and showcasing their unique talents to the industry.
