CÉ LA VI has officially launched its new venue in Taiwan. The rooftop bar nestled on the 48th floor offers 360° views of Taipei City, making it one of the most Instagramable destinations in the city.
The uninterrupted view is not the only drawing card but the contemporary food and beverage menu. On offer is a fusion of French cooking with the freshest Taiwanese produce and spices local to Southeast Asia.
A big focal point of the new venue is the all-copper bar, spanning over nine metres at the central south side of the restaurant. On the cocktail menu, you will find Grass Jelly Milk Tea a cocktail that balances the light bitterness of Chinese herbs with sweet and silky fresh milk tea.
And the Gaoliang Cocktail, which is a variation of Baijiu and made from distilled sorghum, balanced by the citrusy characteristics of plum. The menu has been curated for a global market focusing on international flavours but with a Taiwanese twist.
CÉ LA VI Tapei is part of the expansion plan for the group and is the first of several opening planned for the region. Shanghai is expected to open in the summer of 2019, followed by Tokyo due to open towards the end of the year.
