(Sydney, 14 October 2019) – Australia’s best bartending talent converged on Sydney for the T25 bartender’s weekend (October 13 & 14), culminating in the T25 party at Marble Bar on Monday evening (October 14) and the announcement of Alex Boon as Australia’s top bartender.
On the evening the top 25 bartenders presented their drinks and gave their best bar banter a run across a 5-hour period starting at 6:00 pm. Bartenders set up six stations along two bars either side of the Marble Bar, with each bartender presenting their drink in a 40-minute window. Guests were treated to high-quality drinks created by each bartender – many of whom had prepared at their own bars interstate.
Alex Boon from Mjølner in Melbourne was announced as Australia’s top bartending talent for 2019 at 10:30.
It has been quite the year for Alex Boon who represented Australia at the recent World Class Cocktail Competition in London.
