Summer is upon us which means one of the nation’s largest sporting events, is fast approaching – the Australian Open. The most anticipated sporting event of the Summer, once again will see Canadian Club as the Official Dark Spirit partner of the AO, resigning for another two years.
The AO Sponsorship will see the return of the Canadian Club Racquet Club pop-up bar, which again will be positioned in the prime location on the upper terrace of Birrarung Marr.
The CC Racquet Club never gives you a reason to leave as you can soak up the action on the green by day, and enjoy the festival vibes all night while watching the game on one of the biggest screens in the festival. And this is all happening while enjoying a refreshing CC & Dry or the recently launched Canadian Club Zero Sugar Dry, a lower calorie, zero sugar pre-mixed drink.
If this isn’t enough Canadian Club will present a headline act during the two week of the AO Music Festival which sees headline artists performing each night of the Grand Slam tournament.
The AO Partnership also includes exclusive dark spirit pourage within Melbourne Park and throughout the Emirates Australian Open Series including the Brisbane International, Sydney International and Hobart International.
This is the result of Canadian Club experiencing another year of growth, adding to an eight-year growth trajectory, with 2019 expected to be another stellar year.
“Canadian Club is dominating the spirits category and is continuing to see unprecedented year on year growth. The Australian Open is a key partnership for the brand and re-signing will see CC continue to be one of the most visible brands over summer and allow for mass trial amongst our key audience,” said Beam Suntory Marking Director Trent Chapman.
“The Australian Open has established itself as a world-class event, an anticipated sporting fixture for Aussies each summer and we’re really proud to be able to extend our long-term partnership with Tennis Australia,” Chapman said.
Canadian Club will leverage the AO property across a number of on and off-premise activations throughout the summer, including numerous touchpoints, venues, retailers and promotions to drive and increase awareness.
