Nikka Whisky to Bring Two of Japan’s Leading Bartenders Down Under

Hisatsugu Saito, Bar Ars & Delecto

Nikka Whisky is bringing two of Japan’s most renowned bartenders to Australia.

Rogerio Igarashi, from Tokyo’s Bar Trench, and Hisatsugu Saito, from Bar Ars & Delecto in Shangha, will be taking over Melbourne cocktail bar 1806 on Sunday 16 September and Sydney’s Door Knock on Monday 17 September.

The pair will be serving up four bespoke cocktails to show off Nikka’s products, including its new release Coffey Gin and Coffey Vodka.

Guests will have the opportunity to experience the art of Japanese bartending, namely the meticulous attention to detail that goes into both cocktail creation and service.

Both Igarashi and Saito are well known on the international scene, with Igarashi’s Bar Trench ranked No. 16 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2018 and Saito the current Japan and North Asia Diplomatico World Tournament champion.

Entry is free, so check out the details below and be sure to head to your city’s takeover.
