Apple spirits distiller Laird & Company has announced it is distributing across Thailand and New Zealand.
America’s oldest family-owned licensed distillery is now exported to 13 countries worldwide, including Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Distribution began at the end of May, but the brand is officially breaking into market with a masterclass on June 13th at Bamboo Bar at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.
The range of products available from distributor Bootleggers Trading Company now includes Laird’s Applejack 86, Laird’s Jersey Lightning and Laird’s 100 Proof Apple Brandy.
To coincide with the release, renowned bartender Callan C. Green has been named the Asia Brand Ambassador.
Callan’s career behind the bar started in the mid-2000s with stints at Melbourne institutions Lily Blacks, New Gold Mountain and Eau De Vie. He then moved on to London, where he worked the bar at top cocktail venues Quo Vadis and Experimental Cocktail Club, before he founded his own Malaysian based hospitality and distribution outfit, Wholly Spirits, in 2015.
Lisa Laird Dunn, Executive Vice President and World Ambassador at Laird & Company said of the expansion: “We are delighted to see different parts of the world embracing America’s original distilled spirit, Applejack. We see a lot of interest and traction in Asia and we are delighted to welcome Callan Green to our team as Asia Brand Ambassador to serve this growing and important market.”
