Independent Australian brewer Tribe Breweries has joined with Thai imports and distributors BB&B to create a uniquely Thai beer range.

Chao Siam, meaning ‘Thai People’, will be nationally distributed across Thailand and was developed alongside Thai university students to create a brand that reflects local culture and tastes.

The range currently includes a wit bier, a pale ale and an Indian pale ale.

The news comes alongside Tribe’s announcement that it has acquired leading Australian gluten free beer brand, Wilde Gluten Free.

Founders Chris and Narelle Gordon developed Wilde five years ago with help from Tribe Breweries, and Tribe’s purchase of the brand is expected to see Wilde expand nationally and internationally via the company’s channels into the Asian market.
