Louis Macpherson from Sydney’s The Baxter Inn has taken out the top spot at the Chivas Masters Australian National Final on Monday night.
Louis competed against five other skilled bartenders to create two cocktails inspired by the themes of collaboration and generosity.
Emily Andrew, Australian brand ambassador for Chivas Regal, said of Louis’ presentation, “Louis’ impeccable performance sharing his blend of knowledge, creativity and innovation made him a standout winner on the night.”
Louis will now represent Australia at the Chivas Masters Global Final in June. He will travel to London to work alongside some of the world’s best bartenders and attend private workshops with renowned judges, before heading to the Strathisla Distillery in Moray, the home of Chivas Regal, to find out who will be crowned the 2018 Chivas Master.
The global winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Tales of the Cocktail 2018 in New Orleans and become a global ambassador for the whisky brand.
