Reports Vini Wang Charged for Alleged $30,000 Theft

A popular Adelaide newspaper has reported that renowned bartender Vini Wang has been charged with two accounts of theft for allegedly stealing $30,000 from the bar Hains & Co.

According to reports by The Advertiser, Wang was arrested on Thursday 22nd February after stealing close to $1,000 a week for several months from his workplace.

Wang is well-known in the industry across both Australia and Asia, as he has competed in a number of prestigious bartending competitions of late.

In speaking to The Advertiser, Marcus Motteram, owner of Hains & Co. said: “They are a trusted employee, one that counts and balances the till in the office at the end of the night. Now I feel deflated, I feel angry.”

Wang was bailed to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court next month.
