DFS Group, premier retailer in luxury travel, will host the seventh Masters of Wines and Spirits event in Singapore over two days this month.
From Saturday 24th March to Sunday 25th March, the Group will exhibit more than 120 premium products from 60 of the world’s leading wine and spirits houses at the historic Warehouse Hotel on the banks of the Singapore River. This collection will encompass bespoke, rare, limited edition, first edition and world-world class wines and spirits, many of which are DFS exclusives.
This year’s event will focus on highlighting the influence distillers’ and winemakers’ backgrounds, personalities and varied methods have on their final products.
Over the course of the two days, there will be two masterclasses and a whisky panel discussion, featuring four industry experts.
David C. Stewart MBE, malt master at The Balvenie, will host The Balvenie Master Class Workshop, where he will guide attendees through a tasting of The Balvenie DCS Compendium Chapter 3: Secrets of the Stock collection. This release reflects the skill, knowledge and pride Stewart has in managing The Balvenie’s aged stocks, and consists of of five extremely rare single-cask, single-malt bottlings, from 13 to 55 years old.
The second masterclass will be the Château Latour Master Class with sales and marketing manager of Asia Pacific, Rufus Beazley. This will involve a vertical tasting across a range of exceptional vintages in the Château Latour portfolio.
Finally, The Whiskey House will bring together a panel of the industry’s best to discuss the whisk(e)y category. Moderated by DFS’ director of spirits, Frederick Vanden Bulcke, the panel will include Stephanie MacLeod from John Dewar & Sons Aultmore Single Malt Whisky; Dr Kristie McCallum from Bunnahabhain Single Malt Whisky; Chloe Wood from Bruichladdich Single Malt Whisky; and David Croll from The Kyoto Distillery (Whisky and Gin).
After March 25, the expertly curated Masters of Wines and Spirits collection will be available for purchase at DFS Singapore Changi Airport’s Wines and Spirits Duplexes, at Terminals 2 and 3.
The DFS network spans 11 duty free stores in major global airports, 18 downtown Galleria locations, and affiliate and resort locations.
