Premium whisky brand Chivas has announced the opening of entries to the 2018 Chivas Masters Global Competition.
This year, the competition will span 24 countries and six continents in order to find the next Chivas Masters Global Champion.
To enter, bartenders must create and film a Chivas cocktail inspired by someone close to home. Entrants will be awarded based on showing advanced skills and creativity through their drink.
From each region, six finalists will be selected to compete in the official Chivas Masters week (16th – 20th April). They will be required to serve and promote their cocktail entry in their bars, before creating two additional Chivas cocktails on the 14th May. The judges will then consider each of these serves before awarding the finalist who will continue on to the global competition.
The winner of each of the 24 national finals will then continue on to the Global Final, held in London and Strathisla distillery, Speyside – the spiritual home of Chivas Regal. The winner of the global final will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Tales of The Cocktail 2018 and the opportunity to travel the world with Chivas as an ambassador.
“In 2018, we are beyond excited to bring the global final home to where our brand, values and, indeed, our own community were born,” said Max Warner, global brand ambassador for Chivas Regal.
