Wild Turkey master distiller and legend of the industry, Eddie Russell, will host Hong Kong’s first Wild Turkey masterclasses next week.
The event will showcase the distilling, aging and production processes that create Wild Turkey bourbon over the course of a bar tour around some of Hong Kong’s best venues.
On Monday 29th of January at Stockton, Eddie will give guests insight into the methods of production used at the Wild Turkey distillery in Kentucky, USA. This will be followed by a bourbon and food pairing tasting at Lily & Bloom. The next day will see an exclusive media tasting of the Wild Turkey expressions held at The Old Man., before guests will be taken to a special street party held in their honour at Brickhouse.
Eddie is the son of fellow Wild Turkey master distiller, Jimmy Russell, and he and his father harbour almost 100 years of combined experience in bourbon making. The two of them have collaborated on a number of award winning bourbons, including the Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary, a limited edition blend of 13- and 16-Year-Old whiskies for Jimmy’s 60th anniversary at the distillery.
Eddie is from the next generation of distillers, considerate to the tastes of young bourbon drinkers and the expanding international market. Come to one of the four masterclass sessions to hear Eddie’s story alongside fellow bar professionals, media and bourbon enthusiasts.
