Sydney’s iconic Bungalow 8 has undergone a serious makeover.
The dining, drinks and nightlife venue has transformed into a relaxed beachside villa just in time for those balmy summer nights.
New refurbishments have the place decked out with geometric tiles in subtle shades of blue and white, evoking the pastel hues of the seaside. This creates the perfect environment to sit back, revel in the stunning views of King Street Wharf and sip away at a refreshing glass of rosé.
The revamped food menu is focused on Australian beach club favourites, such as seasonal salads, fresh seafood and, of course, the classic schnitty burger. Executive chef Justin Wise has also created a range of share plates, including the seafood plate for two that comprises of mud crab, scallops, oysters, cured salmon, bugs and squid.
The bar menu features a number of local and international wines, craft beers and jugs of refreshing, summer cocktails. These include the Sloe Down Charlie, made from sloe gin, apricot brandy, fresh-pressed watermelon juice, lime, mint and soda, and the Great Grape Cooler, a fruity mix of grape Kool Aid, green apple Smirnoff, shiraz, lemon, berries and lemonade.
Guests looking to kick on into the evening need only to head upstairs to The Loft. Here they’ll be able to dance the night away to some of Sydney’s best DJs in a chic space decorated with deep plum, grey and timber accents. On the upstairs drinks menu there’s yet more cocktails made with freshly squeezed juices and housemade syrups, as well as Champagne and sparkling magnums, for those looking to start the night off with a pop!
This diverse, all-day venue is ideal for all occasions, from a long lunch, to cocktails with friends, or a night out on the town.
