Industry personality, journalist, bartender, venue manager and owner – Naren Young is fast carving out a reputation as one of the leading industry authorities on the other side of the globe in New York City. Having moved there is 2006, Naren left behind a glittering bar career in some of Sydney’s most iconic cocktail bars to set his sights on developing his own venue in the city that ‘never sleeps’. It has turned out to be a great move and now is co-owner of a busting bar / cafe in Greenwich Village – Caffe Dante, which was voted as Number 16 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list.
Naren will be heading to Hong Kong this November and will be tending bar Otto e Mezzo hosting his ‘Negroni Sessions’. Given it’s the season of the Alba white truffle, Naren will incorporate this delicious delicacy onto his menu with the truffled negroni and whisky sour and also paying homage to Otto’s legendary truffle menu.
