Runway is a 1950s vintage flight concept bar opening soon in Hong Kong.
Located on Wyndham Street, Runway has been created to bring the theme of travel to the city’s nightlife. Guests will enjoy an exciting in-flight experience with touches of the motif throughout. Plane propellers and metal structures adorn the venue, complemented by wood and leather details. The bar itself integrates aircraft windows in its design, and the main display incorporates plane wings.
Keeping in theme, Runway will offer a range of inspired international drinks, including its signature ‘Singapore; One Mile At A Time’ cocktail, a new take on the Singapore Sling filled with infused Pandan leaves Beefeater Gin, pineapple and lime juice and kaya jam.
Signature dishes from eight different countries will make up Runway’s range of “classics”, sharing plates to be shared and enjoyed with drinks. Highlights include the venue’s signature ‘Crispy White Fish Fillet’ an ode to Hong Kong’s spicy food; the ‘Wing Flaps Side Beef’ inspired by Turkey; and the traditional Vietnamese ‘Chicken Bahn Mi’ packed with pickled vegetables and Siracha mayo.
Weekends will see the venue transform into a vibrant hot spot with resident DJ Mojito playing hip hop beats and progressive house hits.
Runway will host its official Grand Opening on May 10th, 2017, located at G/F, Carfield Commercial Building, 75-77 Wyndham Street, Central.
