It’s official, Sydney Craft Beer Week is back again – stronger than ever. What started off as a humble brew-brag six years ago has grown into the not-to-be-missed week-long festival held across a huge host of venues.
What: Sydney Craft Beer Week
Where: Over 60 venues across Sydney
When: October 22-30, 2016
Last year over 70 of Sydney’s leading venues participated in the festival, with 130 craft beer events to attend. This year the festival runs from Saturday the 22nd October to Sunday the 30th October 2016, kicking off with their Annual Gala night on Friday the 21st of October. Not just beer being showcased, last year’s festival included fun food events such as Hair of the Dog Breakfasts.
There will be an abundance of opportunities for bartenders to showcase their skills from tap takeovers to axe throwing (if that’s your thing!), because who said bartenders only mix drinks?
Of course, there will also be plenty of expectantly enjoyable Beergustations to attend. “We are also seeing the return of some favourites,” says Festival director Joel Conolly, “including “Pint of Origin: The Schooner Edition” taking you on a beer adventure across state lines”.
Announcements are yet to be made for the official 2016 line-up, so save your liver and save the date. You can visit the Sydney Craft Beer Week website for more information and register for events.
