A Beautifully Swedish way to enjoy cider

Drinks World recently had the opportunity for a one on one masterclass with Rekorderlig Cider Global Brand Ambassador, Joel Persson. Armed with a wealth of cider knowledge the swedish ambassador worked his way behind the bar showcasing a range of Beautifully Swedish cider cocktails.

Wild Berries Rum Bramble
The Rekorderlig Wild Berries Bramble spins a mix on the traditional cocktail, by using Rum instead of gin since it perfectly compliments the flavour of the cider. This forest fruit explosion, tastes as good as it looks.

Wild Berries Rum Bramble

Ingredients 
60ml White Rum
30ml Creme de Mure
90ml Fresh Lemon Juice
2 x 330ml Bottles of Rekorderlig Wild Berries Cider

Method
Add Rum and lemon to a Rekorderlig pitcher. Half fill the pitcher with ice and stir until all ingredients are combined. Add a little more ice before the Rekorderlig Wild Berries Cider and pour the Creme de Mure on top. Serve with fresh Blueberries, Raspberries and / or Strawberries.

Swedish Punch
Inspired by the traditional Swedish summer punch that many families prepare for midsummer parties, this crowd pleaser will certainly set the scene for any summer BBQ.

Ingredients
90ml Vodka
90ml Elderflower Cordial
90ml Fresh Lime Juice
3 Slices of Cucumber
3 Chopped Strawberries
9 Mint Leaves
2 x 330ml Bottles of Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime Cider

Method
Put thin slices of Cucumber and quartered Strawberries into a Rekorderlig pitcher. Clap the mint gently before adding to the mix. Then pour the vodka, elderflower cordial and fresh lime juice. Half fill the pitcher with ice before adding the Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime Cider. Stir gently before serving. To create the perfect serve, add the mix to a Rekorderlig glass and serve with half a strawberry and mint sprig.

Passionfruit Gimlet
The Gimlet was created a long time ago when Lauchlin Rose first provided lime juice cordial to the English navy helping sailors on long sea journeys to avoid scurvy. While most sailors were mixing the lime juice cordial with rum, the captains and officers would mix it with their English gin. Either sailing the seas or perched on the dry land, the Passionfruit Gimlet is a refreshing concoction and is perfect on a balmy summers day.

Passionfruit Gimlet

Ingredients
90ml London Dry Gin
45ml Fresh Lime Juice
45ml Lime Juice Cordial
2 x 330ml Bottles of Rekorderlig Passionfruit Cider

Method
Add gin, lime juice and cordial to a Rekorderlig pitcher. Half fill the pitcher with ice and stir the ingredients together. Add a little more ice before adding Rekorderlig Passionfruit Cider and serve with lime wedges.

If you have haven’t jumped on the Aperol Spritz bandwagon you need to or at least try the popular spritzer that is becoming more and more popular. The Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime is an innovative alternative to sparkling wine and soda and once you try this little gem – there will be no looking back.

Aperol Spritz

Ingredients
30ml Aperol
200ml Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime Cider

Method
Pour a shot of Aperol into a glass and fill up half with ice. Add the Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime cider and give it a quick stir before garnishing with a wedge of orange or lemon.
